In 1980 at a time when the debate over wood racquets vs. modern racquets was being greatly debated, prince introduced it’s legendary Woodie which achieved the best of both worlds. By combining the wood material with Graphite, the woodie still maintained the damped feeling of wood but could create an oversize head and a 3 and half times larger sweetspot than a traditional wood racquet.
